It’s a Crowned Pigeon. Or maybe Crested Pigeon. Dang it, now I can’t remember. It’s the Victoria Crowned Pigeon, Goura victoria, Comes from north of me in Papua New Guinea. Nice to see a local bird, the masked lapwing (the grey, yellow and white one, top right) – we have them all over my region, even in my oaddock. And I’m coming to the conclusion that the common moorhen is all over the world (except Antarctica and the like)! Yeah, I remember seeing lapwings in a park in Sydney. What a great zoo that must be.
